My thoughts on thought

Each individual in the human race is capable of reaching the same level of intelligence as anyone else. We are indoctrinated by society that certain conditions exist within individual minds, which prevent full realization of that potential. Individuals with so called learning disabilities or other mental disorders are not any less intelligent, they simply see the world differently or lack the process to communicate in a way that others recognize. The human brain is an amazing organ but yet we only use around ten percent of it. Could it be that some individuals use a different ten percent than most?

We all have the same brain mass to body ratio as everyone else on the planet, with the exception of a few rare physical anomalies that exist. That being the case then everyone starts with the same potential. How that potential develops is based on a couple of factors. First is communication, just because someone cannot process there thoughts into a recognizable form does not mean that they lack the ability to communicate there thoughts it just means they do it in a different way that may not be perceptible to the rest of us. Second environment plays a key role if someone is told on a daily basis that they have no potential then that individual will start to believe it.

Just like we learn how to behave in society from those around us, we also learn how to learn. Everything in or society is geared towards learning what to think rather than how to think. Our educational system that tends to worry more about test scores and what the right answers are instead of teaching how to find the reasons behind those answers. Or most parents that teach that there way of thinking is the only right way. We must teach future generations how to reason and encourage them to make there own mistakes and decisions or else or race is doomed. What sets us apart from most other species on this planet is our ability to learn, apply, and adapt. The last one is important as we are the only ones who can significantly adapt not only ourselves but our environment.

The fact that we only use ten percent of our brains means that there is a lot of untapped potential. Perhaps it is hardwired into our DNA that we only use that much, nut not necessarily the same ten percent for everyone. Maybe those with so called disabilities are tapping into a different part of there brain. Perhaps they could be communicating on another level with each other. The brain adapt its self quite well rerouting neural pathways as needed or even enhancing senses to compensate for the loss of others.
